William Lee Etchison, age 70 of Westcliffe, Colorado was called home by our Lord and Savior on Friday, November 10, 2017. He was the son of the late Clarence and Nancy Etchison. Lee graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School in 1965. He served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Lee was a Master Electrician and retired from Brandenburg Electric. He is survived by one son Charles W. Etchison also of Westcliffe, Colorado; six sisters Nancy Newcomer, of Gettysburg Pennsylvania, Clarice Roff, of Frederick, Maryland, Margaret Hill, of Virginia, Pat Larsen, of Oregon, Diane Luthy, of Cambridge, Maryland, Anne Etchison, of Pittsville, Maryland and one brother Robert Etchison, of Ohio.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Lee. He was preceded in death by one brother Clarence “Buck” and sister–in- law Ida Etchison. He is also survived by Patti Brandle of Westcliffe, Colorado who took great care of Lee and was a devoted and wonderful friend, along with his former spouse Sherry Spruill. He leaves behind many friends in Maryland and Colorado.
Next Summer, when the snow has melted on the mountains his ashes will be spread on Music Pass Trail in Colorado, the state he loved. Lee was a man of Faith who loved the Lord. Our hearts are broken.
Soar high Lee over the Sangre De Cristo Mountains that you loved. We love you, gone but never forgotten.
