Lois Elizabeth (Geroux) Crow, 96, longtime resident of Westcliffe, Colorado, passed away January 19, 2018 at Chateau at Sharmar in Pueblo, Colorado.
Lois was born to Dona and Elizabeth (Kattnig) Geroux on September 11, 1921 in Westcliffe, Colorado. She attended and graduated from Custer County High School in 1939. She married George V. Crow on September 11, 1939 in Boulder, Colorado. To this union were born four children, Donald (Susan), Dennis (Shirley), Deanne (Jim) Littrell, and Delaine.
Lois worked for 33 years at the Post Office in Westcliffe beginning as a clerk and eventually as postmaster. She was an active member of St. Luke’s Church for many years.
She leaves to mourn, her children, Don and (Susan) of Wray, Colorado, Dennis and (Shirley) of Westcliffe; Deanne and (Jim) of Westcliffe, and Delaine of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nine grandchildren, Christi and Ethan Sayler of Lennox, South Dakota, Pamela and Mat Barr of Aurora, Rebecca and Daniel Brophy of Winter Garden, Florida and Timothy and Erika Crow also of Winter Garden, Dennis Crow II, of Westcliffe, Linda Crow, of Colorado Springs, Terri Lynn Streck, of Cottonwood, Arizona, Edie and Jerry Schoenfeld of Salida, Jim and Rhonda Littrell of Cut Bank, Montana; 23 great- grandchildren; four great- great- grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Dona and Elizabeth Geroux; her husband, George; brother, Chester (Jack); sister-in-law, Ruby Geroux; sisters, Maxine (Gene) Newell, and Phyllis (Churck) Kastendieck.
Visitation, 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Westcliffe, Colorado. Interment will follow at Ula Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Wet Mountain Fire Protection District, 215 4th St, Westcliffe, CO 81252 or Frontier Hospice of Pueblo, 4718 N Elizabeth St, Pueblo, CO 81008.
