Pauline L. Woolsey, 89, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
Pauline was a true native of Canon City and born on October 21, 1928 to a William McCartney and Lucy (Arnold) McCartney. She graduated from Canon City High School and married soon after to Earl E. Woolsey Jr.
She was a very loving woman and spent her entire life in the area. For over 15 years Pauline worked at the local Wal-Mart where countless people would have surely met her and saw her wonderful smile, which greeted them as they came in the door to shop. Everyone that met her knew what a gift she was to the world.
A very hard working and active person, Pauline was a member of the local Methodist church and of many local fraternal orders and groups that included the local aeries for the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Order of the Eastern Star, Canon City Golden Age Center and the AARP.
She is survived by her four children, Ron (Amy) Woolsey, Linda (John) Sand, Alan (Sherril) Woolsey, Larry (Margaret) Woolsey; eight grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Sand, Travis Woolsey, Lindsey Woolsey, Justin Woolsey, Dalton Woolsey, Niki Schauer, Sami Schauer and Dani Rae Hall; three great-grandchildren, Angel Archuleta, Abigail Sand and Braydyn Warren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Woolsey Jr.; both parents; and her dear son, Clyde Woolsey.
Visitation, 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018, Wilson Funeral Home, Funeral service, 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
