Raul Sanchez Born April 19, 1935, and passed away on March 13, 2024.
He was born in Los Angeles. His parents were Luis and Amelia Sanchez. His siblings were Henry,
Armando, and Carmen. He was married to Ruth Sanchez. Raul attended Orange Coast College and
Rancho Santa Margarita College in California. He worked at Beckman Instruments, was the owner of La Casita Restaurant, and retired from Rancho Santa Margarita Water District.
Raul Sanchez was a husband, dad, and protector, and provided words that brought much wisdom.
My dad and mom were married for 67 years. He loved her more than we could ever know. They had
many beautiful years together. He stayed by her side when she became ill. He held her hand and spoke to her of many things. Never have I seen such love as this. They are extensions of one other. When you
think of Raul, you think of Ruth!
My dad‘s work ethic taught us many things: to strive to make things better, bigger and to never give up. His presence as a leader has always been admired. When he started something, he gave it his all. Even from a very young age he had many jobs and wore many hats. The most remembered would be the owner of La Casita Restaurant and a Rancho Santa Margarita water district manager. Also, he was the head of a well-known dirt bike club called the Anaheim Hi Siders. As kids our family shared many vacations together in the desert and the Sierra Nevada mountains. My dad spent quality time with his
grandkids which created a bond that has never been broken. Our house was the place where we had many parties with our extended family.
Our memories will never be forgotten and will be held in our hearts always. We’re forever grateful to our dad for all he has been to us. We love you forever Dad! Rest in peace in the love of God with Mom and all our loved ones that have gone before.
